Guadalajara welcomes Cirque du Soleils: Luzia Aug. 30-Sept. 16

We are excited to welcome back Cirque Du Soleils: Luzia, A Waking Dream of Mexico to Guadalajara from August 30, 2018, through September 16, 2018. Ticket prices are as little as 890 and up to 3,290 pesos (roughly $45 to $168 USD).
Luzia is Cirque du Soleils 38th original production, and its been two years since theyve premiered in Montreal. The cast consists of 44 artists from 15 different countries and will give Guadalajara viewers an exceptionally unique and diverse experience of their reinterpretation of the Mexican culture, geography and soul.
The shows name, Luzia, is a blend of Spanish words luz and lluvia, which translates to light and rain. The combination of the two elements with music written and performed by Mexican musicians and astonishing acrobatic scenes will captivate audiences of all ages. Federico Gonzlez Compen, the general manager of Grupo Cie, and is Cirque du Soleils promoter in Mexico, describes the show as a surreal world suspended between dreams and real life.
Luzia gets their inspiration from traditional Mexico, while reflecting recent and modern times. The performers will dazzle audiences with their monumental set designs, like an on stage 15-meter waterfall; acrobatics that will represent prominent aspects, like the infamous speed of Northern Mexicos tribes, Rarmuri, and Tarahumara; the different types of rain, from refreshing rain shower to copious downpours, and the amazing animals of Mexico represented by giant, life-like puppets.
